Mr. Vedat Demiröz a PM of AKP (justice and development party) and Spokesman of TBMM (Grand National Assembly) Plan Budget Commission stated that the taxes may be reduced until June 2015 with a regulation to be conducted for finding a solution for the house stock.

According to the news of Haber Türk Newspaper, Demiroz making statements at the real estate fair organized in Dubai stated that there may be tax reductions on 18 percent and 8 percent tax rates for increasing the house stocks.

Demiroz stating that the slowing down occurred in the house sector affecting the growth figures of Turkey negatively that “Formerly the VAT applied in the sector was decreased for melting the existing house stocks. Today, it is a must for us to start such an initiation again. We will conduct studies for relieving the construction industry.”
